YIN YOGA*

with Sharka Kormukova

 

Sunday the 4th of March
2-3pm


Yin yoga works on what are considered the yin tissues - the connective tissues.  In yin yoga you will experience a slow, steady class where you will hold individual poses for longer to work deep into these tissues.  It is considered a great complement to your bikram practise.  Whereas bikram yoga stretches, strenghens and lengthens the muscles with internal heat, yin works to target the connective tissue of the hips, pelvis and lower spine.  Join Sharka for this powerful and meditative class!

WARM VINYASA*

With Karen Butler

 

Sunday the 11th of March
2-3pm


The word 'vinyasa' can be traslated as 'arranging something in a special way'.  In vinyasa yoga students coordinate movement with breath to flow from one posture to the next.  Karen will guide you through this introductory class where you will discover downward dog and sun salutations.  Offering a variety of postures every time, no two vinyasa classes are ever alike.

INFERNO PILATES

With Shona Langridge

Using Pilates principles, Inferno Pilates is a challenging, full-body, low-impact, high-intensity workout.  Influenced by bikram yoga, it is performed on a yoga mat in a heated room.  Hot Pilates works to strengthen muscles and burn fat - all without a high-impact workout.  Like bikram yoga, Pilates focuses on breath, alignment, balance, strength and flexibility.  Shona promises a fun and energetic class to get you hot and hooked!

You will need a towel for these classes for your mat.


We would like to stress that we have no plans to take any of our bikram classes off the schedule - they are the core of what we do and are here to stay.  If proven popular we will only look to add more classes to offer you more choice.


These classes are part of the weekly March schedule and charged at the normal drop in rate.  All class passes and peak memberships are valid for attending these classes so do come along and give them a try!
