Bikram Yoga is the original hot yoga, famous for its incredible healing ability. It is a very specific series of 26 yoga postures and two breathing exercises taught in 40C (105F) heat. The heat provides a safe environment in which to work through resistance in the body, helping to reduce the risk of injury – it also increases blood flow and perspiration leading to improved respiration and greater detoxification. Each posture is done in a specific order, systematically preparing the body for the next posture, resulting in powerful and positive health benefits. The sequence is designed for beginners as well as those students who have a regular practice.
