Karen gained her Bikram Yoga teaching certificate in 2011. She was originally drawn to this challenging yoga practice due to the immediate relief for her chronic lower back pain. Karen's philosophy is, 'To know yoga, is to know peace…no yoga, no peace.'
FYI: Karen is also trained in the Bikram pregnancy series, Ashtanga and Vinyasa Flow yoga.

Hot Spot 60 (Bikram Yoga 60 minutes)
Hot Spot 60 (60 minute class)
The same classic sequence with a faster pace, this shorter version delivers amazing benefits and wonderful results. All 26 postures and two breathing exercises are on offer (some performed twice, others once) in this condensed class.
Hot Spot 75 (Bikram Yoga 75 minutes)
This class offers the full 90 minute classic sequence at a faster pace! This slightly shorter version delivers amazing benefits and wonderful results. All 26 postures and and two breathing exercises are offered twice in this condensed class.
Warm Vinyasa (60 minute class)
Vinyasa is a style of yoga characterised by stringing postures together so that you move seamlessly from one to another using breath, creating a 'flow'. Vinyasa classes offer a variety of postures and no two classes are ever alike. The word “vinyasa” can be translated as 'arranging something in a special way'. In vinyasa, students coordinate movement with breath to flow from one pose to the next.
The studio will be warm, not hot, for this class.
Candlelit (Bikram + Yoga Nidra 90 minutes)
A great way to end your week, we offer a combination of Bikram Yoga with Yoga Nidra in this 90 minute candlelit class. At the end of your Bikram practise you will be guided through a Yoga Nidra meditation to create a state of consciousness called samadhi. Yoga Nidra means 'yogic sleep' and this portion of the class will lull you into a level of consciousness between waking and sleeping to achieve a sense of calm and complete relaxation. Yoga Nidra is practised laying down in savasana at the end of the candlelit class.
Note to beginners: As the lighting is dim, if you are on your intro offer or new to the studio we recommend that you have taken a couple of standard classes before joining in.
Class to Music (Bikram Yoga 60 minutes)
Music has been shown to reduce stress, elevate mood and induce a meditative state so it's the perfect complement to your hot yoga practise. Switch off and stretch in this 60 minute class as you're guided through your 26 + 2 with an ever-changing playlist!
We recommend booking your place in class and advise beginners to take a few regular classes before joining in.
